Baked Oysters were the best I’ve had in the NW Florida area. Service was amazing, my grits were perfect and my entire experience will bring me back again.
Simply Seafood Market & Oyster Bar
About this place
Find Simply Seafood Market & Oyster Bar in Lynn Haven (Florida) when you want a kitchen that still feels human. From the door you notice ocean air nearby, then a casual welcome settles in as you sit.
If you only remember three names, make them oyster, shrimp, and the kitchen's daily strengths. Seafood here leans fresh and straightforward rather than overdressed. Everything else is supporting cast.
Guests tend to linger. That is a feature: conversations stretch, plates get passed, and nobody rushes the check. Weeknights usually run quieter than weekends. The listing address is 429 Ohio Ave, Lynn Haven, FL 32444.
Come for oyster, stay because Simply Seafood Market & Oyster Bar treats Lynn Haven guests like neighbors rather than tickets.
Before you visit, skim recent neighbor notes on the listing and confirm hours on the door. Platefolk keeps this page as a field guide, not a frozen brochure - the best proof is still sitting down for a meal.
What we value here is consistency: a kitchen that repeats its strengths, a room that does not treat guests like tickets, and a Simply Seafood Market & Oyster Bar visit that still feels worth the trip across town. Bring curiosity, order something the staff recommends, and leave a short note afterward so the next diner arrives wiser.

I am on a strict meal plan, and the food here is fabulous.. the broccoli is perfectly cooked and fresh. The Mahi Mahi was moist and flavorful... it was the perfect meal out that I did not feel like I was missing out. Staff are always friendly.
We were traveling with our dog and my husband wanted a lobster roll. Someone recommended this restaurant. He absolutely loved the lobster roll. Said it was loaded with chunks of lobster and probably the best lobster roll he’s ever eaten. We also ordered half a gallon of sweet tea. It was very good and served in this bag with a spout and handle.
Maybe we caught them on a bad night, but I was underwhelmed. Especially given the price - >$65 for a mahi sandwich, grouper-shrimp combo, a beer, and a tea before tip (also wouldn't have expected to have to get my own drink). Fish filets were small and flat compared to other similar restaurants I've visited (or made at home) and slightly overcooked. The cheese grits were great, though! And just an FYI - no fried food.
The oysters were overcooked extremely small. Took three oysters on one cracker to be able to taste them very expensive definitely will not be back.Food: 1/5 | Service: 2/5Group size2 people
Food was good but the fish portions were small for the price compared to other restaurants I have been to in the area. Would return again, but get the you pick 2 or 3. More for your $.
As a local, this is fantastic seafood! I got blackened scallops and they were great! Scallops are super easy to overcook and these were perfect. The portion was also large (picture shown was lunch portion after eating a good bit). Others in my party got blackened and steamed shrimp and both were delicious. They also had a good selection of draft beer and additional bottled beers. Very happy with the portion sizes and price. I will be back again.
Simply Seafood Market & Oysters in Lynn Haven is a true hidden gem! If you're craving fresh, delicious oysters without the hassle of battling beach traffic or tourist crowds, this is your spot. I was incredibly impressed with the quality and selection. It's refreshing to find such a fantastic seafood market tucked away in town. The oysters were absolutely top-notch, and the atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. Simply Seafood Market & Oysters is definitely worth checking out for any oyster lover or seafood enthusiast looking for a local, high-quality experience. Highly recommended!
This restaurant is a sleeper! It might not look like much from the outside, but it is well decorated, clean, and an experience on the inside. I've tried their shrimp scampi, blackened Mahi, raw oysters, and most of their sides, and it has all been excellent! The service is always on point, and this is by far my favorite place to eat in the Panama City area. Highly recommend!
The food is good. Decently priced. Super busy establishment. Small dining areas. The do have an attached playground outside for the kiddos to play that is in veiw of the left side dining room. Drinks are self serve. Our food was good. The pecan bread pudding is a must try!!! I would give it 6 stars! I had the seafood lasagna, very cheesy and served with garlic bread. My husband had baked oysters, but they came out cold. He tried to eat a few when the waitress came over and asked about it.... and she took the plate that he was eating on and stuck it back in the oven. They were great after that but I didn't like the thought of the possible cross contamination/cleanliness. We ordered steamed shrimp for an appetizer, it was seasoned well but seemed a little overcooked. They also brought out my husbands food before the appetizer, so i sat and watched him eat his dinner while waiting on mine. The appetizer was brought out with my food. Kinda frustrating but Hopefully it was just an off day bc we have ate here before with no issues. The staff is effecient and nice but busy!
